ABSTRACT: This study examined the Role of Early Childhood Education in Enhancing Decision-Making Skills. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the effectiveness of early childhood education (ECE) programs in developing decision-making skills among young children, (2) assess the impact of decision-making activities on cognitive development and self-confidence, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of decision-making education on future success. A survey design was justified for this research to gather comprehensive data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences with decision-making activities in ECE settings. A sample size of 160 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected using purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Kano State, Nigeria, known for its progressive approaches to child development. Findings indicated that ECE programs significantly enhanced children's decision-making skills, leading to improved cognitive development and self-confidence. It was recommended that early childhood education centers incorporate decision-making activities into their curricula and provide training for educators to effectively teach these skills.
